Located
off the beautiful Coast Fork of the Willamette River, Pleasant
Hill Orchards and River Bend Farm is family owned
and operated. In production since 1995, we offer a bountiful
harvest for your eating pleasure. Here can also be found
hundreds of bird boxes where many swallows can be observed
nesting during the summer.
Our
97 acre 3-family orchard/farm grows many types of fruits
and vegetables. Fruits that can be found for your enjoyment
include strawberries, marionberries, boysenberries, raspberries,
loganberries, cherries, peaches, European pears, Asian pears,
over 15 varieties of specialty apples, and hazelnuts. We
also grow in season, corn tomatoes, cucumbers, beans and
squashes, to name a few of the vegies. U-pick is available
during the strawberry season.
We
are striving to bring our customers the very best quality
with great customer service. Our goal is to be as free of
any synthetic chemicals and fertilizers as possible. Our
tree fruits are grown using the IPM (Integrated Pest Management)
system. We integrate the use of beneficial bugs, pheremone
distruption and organic fertilizers for ourselves and our
customers benefit. All vegetables and berries are grown
with organic fertilizer and without synthetic pesticides.
Our
business is open during the growing season from approximately
June 5th through early November. We can also be found with
our produce during the summer and fall at the nearby Lane
County Farmers Market located in Eugene.
Our hours of operation are: Monday - Saturday 9:00 am
- 5:30 pm.
