Location: On the Deschutes River, in Deschutes National Forest

Campsites, facilities: There are 20 sites for tents, trailers, or RVs up to 16 feet long. Picnic tables and fire grills are provided. Vault toilets are available. There is no piped water. Boat docks and launch are nearby at Crane Prairie Campground. Leashed pets are permitted.

Reservations, fees: No reservations are accepted. Sites are $5 per night, plus $3-$5 per additional vehicle. The campground is open from June to October.

Directions: From Interstate 5 south of Eugene, drive 73 miles southeast on Highway 58. Turn east on County Road 61. Drive three miles, then continue north on Cascade Lakes Highway (Highway 46) for approximately 26 miles to Forest Service Road 620. Turn East and travel two miles to the campground at the end of the road. Note: The entrance road can be muddy.

Trip notes: This campground is set along the Deschutes River, near the north end of Crane Prairie Reservoir. It's a pretty spot and the price is right.
