Location:
On Gold Lake in Willamette National Forest
Campsites, facilities: There are 20 sites for tents, trailers,
or RVs up to 22 feet long. Picnic tables, firewood and fire grills
are provided. Vault toilets and hand-pumped water are available.
Boat launching facilities are nearby. Leashed pets are permitted.
Reservations, fees: No reservations accepted. Sites are $10
per night, plus $5 for additional vehicles. The camp is open from
June through September.

Directions: From Interstate five south of Eugene, turn east
on Highway 58 and drive about 61 miles. Turn left on Forest Service
Road 500 and drive two miles northeast to the camp.
Trip notes: This campground is set along the shore of Gold
Lake, where swimming and boating (for boats without motors) are
permitted. Fishing is also allowed, but is limited to fly-fishing.
A trail at the camp provides access to numerous small lakes to the
west and Waldo Lake to the north. In the summer, wildflowers and
huckleberries abound.
