Location:
On Wickiup Reservoir in Deschutes National Forest
Campsites, facilities: There are 79 sites for tents, trailers,
or RVs up to 30 feet long. There are also sites available for groups
of up to 25 people. Picnic tables and fire grills are provided.
Piped water, a sanitary dump station and flush and vault toilets
are available. Boat launching facilities are on site. Leashed pets
are permitted.
Reservations, fees: Reservations only accepted for group
sites. Individual sites are $10 per night, and group sites are $40
per night, plus $3-$5 per additional vehicle. The campground is
open from mid-April through October, weather permitting.

Directions: From Interstate 5 south of Eugene, drive 73 miles
southeast on Highway 58. Turn east on County Road 61. Drive three
miles, then continue north on Cascade Lakes Highway (Highway 46)
for 18 miles then turn east on County Road 42. Turn and go east
for five miles to Forest Service Road 4260. Turn south and drive
three miles to the campground.
Trip notes: This campground is in an open setting with sparse
vegetation on the north shore of the Wickiup Reservoir. You'll find
good fishing for kokanee salmon here.
