Location:
On the south fork of the McKenzie River in Willamette National Forest
Campsites, facilities: There are eight sites for tents, trailers,
or RVs. Picnic tables and fire grills are provided. Vault toilets
are available, but there is no piped water. Leashed pets are permitted.
Reservations, fees: No reservations are accepted. There is
no fee. The campground is open year-round.

Directions: From Interstate 5 at Eugene, turn east on Highway
126 and go 37 miles to the town of Blue River. Drive east for five
miles then go south on Forest Service Road 19 (Aufderheide Scenic
Byway) 17 miles to the camp.
Trip notes: This quiet little campground is set along the
banks of the South Fork of the McKenzie River. It's primitive, little-known,
and free. Frissell Crossing is nearby and has water available from
a hand pump.
