Location:
Near the Pacific Crest Trail in Deschutes National Forest
Campsites, facilities: There are six tent sites. Picnic tables
and fire grills are provided. Pit toilets are available. There is
no piped water. Leashed pets are permitted.
Reservations, fees: No reservations are accepted. There is
no fee. The campground is open from mid-June to mid-September.

Directions: From Interstate 5 south of Eugene, drive 59 miles
southeast on Highway 58. Turn left and drive 10.5 miles north on
Forest Service Road 5897, then two miles west on Forest Service
Road 5898 to the entrance road to North Waldo campground. Turn right
just prior to entering North Waldo on Road 514. Drive approximately
9 miles to the campground. This is an extremely rough, high clearance
road.
Trip notes: Little-known, beautiful, and free, this remote
campground is a favorite of horse packers as there are numerous
trailheads from the camp to dozen of small mountain lakes, including
the Erma Bells.
