Location:
On Elk Lake in Deshutes National Forest
Campsites, facilities: There are 18 sites for trailers or
RVs up to 22 feet long. Electricity, picnic tables and fire grills
are provided. Vault toilets are available. Hand-pumped water is
provided. Boat docks, launching facilities and boat rentals are
located nearby on the southwest shore. Leashed pets are permitted.
Reservations, fees: Reservations are required for the group
sites. Individual sites are $8 per night, group sites are $50 per
night,plus $3-$5 per additional vehicle. The campground is open
from June through September, weather permitting.

Directions: From Interstate 5 south of Eugene, drive 73 miles
southeast on Highway 58. Turn east on County Road 61. Drive three
miles, then continue north on Cascade Lakes Highway (Highway 46)
for approximately 36 miles to Forest Service Road 4625, then drive
northeast 3 miles to the campground, located on the souteast
side of Elk Lake.
Trip notes: Choose between sites on the water's edge or nestled
nearby in the forest at this campground along the eastern shore
of Elk Lake. A play area for children can be found at one of the
lake's inlets.
