Location:
On Wickiup Reservoir in Deschutes National Forest
Campsites, facilities: There are 28 sites for tents, trailers,
or RVs up to 22 feet long. Picnic tables and fire grills are provided.
There is no piped water and vault toilets are available. Boat launching
facilities are nearby. Leashed pets are allowed.
Reservations, fees: No reservations accepted. Sites are $5
per night, plus $3-$5 per additional vehicle. The campground is
open from May to late October, weather permitting.

Directions: From Interstate 5 south of Eugene, drive 73 miles
southeast on Highway 58. Turn east on County Road 61. Drive three
miles, then continue north on Cascade Lakes Highway (Highway 46)
for 11 miles then turn east on County Road 44. Go 1.5 miles to the
camp.
Trip notes: This campground is set along the south shore
of Wickiup Reservoir, where the kokanee salmon fishing is good.
The camp is best in early summer, before the lake level drops. Because
of a pine beetle infestation, the area was logged in 1987.
