Location: Near Wickiup Reservoir in Deschutes National Forest

Campsites, facilities: There are 18 sites for tenst, trailers, or RVs up to 22 feet long. Picnic tables and fire grills are provided. Hand-pumped water and vault toilets are available. Leashed pets are permitted.

Reservations, fees: No reservations are accepted. Sites are $5 per night, plus $3-$5 per additional vehicle. The campground is open from April through October, weather permitting.

Directions: From Interstate 5 south of Eugene, drive 73 miles southeast on Highway 58. Turn east on County Road 61. Drive three miles, then continue north on Cascade Lakes Highway (Highway 46) for 18 miles then turn east on County Road 42. Go five miles to Forest Service Road 4260. From here, the camp is one-half mile down on the west side of the road.

Trip notes: This campground is set along the channel north of Wickiup Reservoir in an open, treeless area that has minimal privacy and is dusty in the summer
