Location:
On Cultus Lake in Deschutes National Forest
Campsites, facilities: There are 12 boat-in or hike-in sites.
Picnic tables and fire grills are provided. Vault toilets are available.
There is no piped water. Boat docks and launching facicitlies are
available on site; boat rentals are located at the adjscent Cultus
Lake Resort. Leashed pets are permitted.
Reservations, fees: No reservations are accepted. There is
no camping fee, but there is a $25 annual trail pass or $5 per day
trailhead parking fee. The campground is open from June to late
September, weather permitting.

Directions: From Interstate 5 south of Eugene, drive 73 miles
southeast on Highway 58. Turn east on County Road 61. Drive three
miles, then continue north on Cascade Lakes Highway (Highway 46)
for approximately 26 miles to Forest Road 4635, turn west and travel
1.5 miles to the parking area, then travel by boat about three miles
to the west shore of the lake or hike the trail around the lake.
Trip notes: This campground set at 4,700 feet along the west
shore of Cultus Lake is accessible by boat or trail only. It's about
three miles by trail from the parking area to the campground. This
is a good spot for water-skiing, fishing, and swimming. Trails branch
out from the campground and provide access to numerous small backcountry
lakes.
