Trail
Description:
|
This
trail first traverses a ridge at a moderate climb and enters
meadows on top of the ridge. It then crosses road 5828 and runs
next to Spur road 585. after 1/4 mile it heads up into the woods
for another 1/4 mile before encountering the same spur again.
It follows this spur, then drops onto an old road grade for
awhile before crossing road 5828 near the junction of 687. Here
the trail is good, running under Buckhead Mountain for over
a mile before coming out onto an excellent view. It then encounters
road 1910-683 and continues on and ties in with the Tire Mountain
Trail on Lowell Ranger District. This trail is also part of
the Eugene-to-Crest trail. |
