Trail
Description:
|
From
the end of road 501, this trail can be found on the other side
of Deer Creek, at the edge of the woods above some alders. The
trail follows above Deer Creek up the drainage. A small lake
is on the left, and Abernethy Lake is a short ways beyond. |

Access:

Proceed
east from Oakridge Ranger Station on Hwy 58 for 30 miles to
road 5889. Follow 5889 to the right about one mile to Pengra
Pass. From here, follow the 501 spur to the right towards Abernethy
and the trailhead on the left. Road 5899-501 is poor. |
